A wonderful tour. Very interesting. Guide gave a great history of coffee and the roasting process. We truly enjoyed walking through the coffee plants, cocoa plants, and other vegetation. Had our bags of coffee signed by the roaster. Highly recommended.

Finca El Paraiso

This is a third generation, small scale, sustainable farm. The animals are pasture-fed and roam freely throughout the day. It is our vision to continue to operate this farm without the use of pesticides or chemical based fertilizers and to maintain a balance of pasturelands and forest. Guests are invited to take a tour of the farm. Come and see the cows up close and try your hand at milking. Take a tour of the garden, where you will find banana trees, the beginnings of a small scale coffee farm, and seasonal fruits and veggies under the care of our family. We also have sheep, goats, pigs, and poultry on the premesis that are all a part of the farm operation. MonteVerde is an area with a rich history in dairy production. We invite to try fresh Costa Rican cheese. You can enjoy an authentic meal featuring the freshly made cheese, hand made tortillas, along with other locally sourced and seasonably available items. We were in Costa Rica last week on an amazing vacation. We visited the Monkey farm for our second time. This time we went on a sunset horseback riding trip. It was last minute, but they were very accomadating. There were 8 of us riding that evening. We absolutely loved it! The horses were very well taken care of and the most easy going and calm horses I have ever ridden. We had been zip lining, rafting, snorkling, all earlier that week, but my kids said that the sunset ride through the rainforest and on the beach was their favorite thing we did!!! They are also very reasonably priced! And yes! We saw the most beautiful sunset as well!!! We also saw monkeys, iguanas, and butterflies. Next time we visit Costa Rica, we will definelty do this again!!
