We enjoyed the "Stressless Sunday" 5 course degustation dinner at $79 / person on Father's Day.As always the dishes are interesting & diverse & not too filling.Their organic wholemeal sourdough bread with homemade Ricotta is a great start. The only disappointments were that there was no menu to explain what the 5 dishes were & that there are no Australian or New Zealand wines available by the glass.Grazie mille Richard! We are pleased you enjoyed the Stressless Sunday menu, as it's a great way to experience some past and present dishes at Ormeggio. The whole aim of the evening is that it is the chefs way of being creative and designing a menu quite à la minute, therefore, we do not provide a menu on this particular evening. The team did explain each dish to you on the evening as this is standard and a very important procedure. As we are an Italian restaurant we do mainly provide Italian wines, however, we do have a number of Australian wines by the bottle. We hope to see you again soon.

Houlihans does a great "proper" breakfast with great service and friendly staff. I'd looked all over central Chatswood for a place to get a decent eggs & bacon style breakfast. One place actually served it with kale and quinoa! Then I found Houlihans. Highly recommended.

A night out in Sydney to a recommended place. Absolutely well worth the visit. The food was great and the service too. I'm not a great steak eater as it often disappoints, but very happy to report that the medium rare that the chef produced was superb... seems it is cooked on a wood grill... great. Coul;dn't fault all the fare.Thank you for taking the time to review us Trevor. We are delighted to hear that your enjoyed your dinner with us - especially since you were recommended to come here. We were a large group there for a special 0 birthday and were in a private room. The staff were very accommodating in helping with the planning of the night and also very helpful on the night. The food was full of flavour and everyone was happy with their choice. Service was very good. Street parking is available but best to get there before 7pm unless you want a longer walk to the restaurant as there are other diners in this area. Inside Bistro 54 is very pleasant - a nice ambience. Would definitely recommend.Hi Aussie Traveller50, Thanks for taking the time to review your dining experience. We are so pleased to hear that everyone enjoyed themselves at the birthday. We will pass on your kind words to the staff. We look forward to you visiting again Kind RegardsCaryn Medak

Very tender S&P calamari starter and generous and tender pulled lamb and mash main. Other half enjoyed her scallop and prawn gnocchi main but felt her arancini entree would have been nicer if it was beef mince rather than mushroom. Enough wines by the glass for our liking and at typical prices. Good range of desserts.

Excellent food.Have had Pho & the meat was tender & the soup rich with complex flavours. On another occasion had the pork knuckle. Crispy crackling outside & nice flavour. A bit dry, however the accompanying sauce was spot on.We shared the knuckle for 2 which was a good idea, as we also had entree each & it was the right amount of food.Owner/Manager is very personable, warm & genuine.
