We love it here and visit as often as possible. Being vegetarian isn't easy in Portugal but Beliao has amazing veggie quiches and lasagnas, as well as delicious soups and desserts. We always take away a few of the choc chip cookies too - easily the best you'll find anywhere. In good weather you can sit outside soaking up the stunning riverside views. In winter the woodburner makes it cosy and the atmosphere is always relaxed. Superb service too. Just fantastic and highly recommended.

My memory of this meal is that it went on for hours and hours with various party members leaving the table before the food arrived. Staff were very pleasant, but easily distracted. No task ever seemed to be finished (eg. ordering or bringing drinks) if you mentioned some earlier request or they were hailed to another table before doing what you'd asked. Drinks took ages to arrive. The food even longer. We had some very tired children and even tireder jet-lagged adults who just ordered the cheese plate in the hope that it would be quick. They had to wait with the rest of us with the added pain of sitting hungry as we ate our starters.The food was OK when it did arrive, but most of us had lost interest by that point. We were a large party, but it was clear from overheard conversations at other tables, that it was not much better if you were a table of 2. Although to our envious eyes they did seem to be getting their food a whole lot quicker. The answer is simple - staff training.

Almoço de domingo, sala com lotação para 100 pessoas, clientes 2, triste.O espaço é agradável e limpo.A comida, bacalhau e costela de borrego, de boa confeção e bem empratada.As sobremesas, bolo de chocolate com gelado e panna cotta de frutos vermelhos, apelativas.Carta de vinhos curta e com várias ofertas esgotadas, só à terceira foi possÃvel a escolha.Mesmo assim um almoço bom.Sendo esta vila um destino gastronómico de fim de semana e estando este restaurante inserido num hotel com toda a logÃstica a favor, boas instalações, acesso fácile estacionamento disponÃvel, ... não se percebe.
