A family run restaurants with sister on the floor and brother in the kitchen. A fusion menu that offers a variety a local treats brought together with an excellent and hand picked wine list. With different rooms to choose from, our favourite is the view over the small lake that offers a relaxing and enjoyable experience. This is a must when in the area

When we arrived for check - in after our bike ride that day, we ended up coming into the back of the hotel, where there was a function in progress on the patio. We rang the intercom and the lady said to come around the building, which was actually around the block. We couldn't find it and had to ring her again to come and help. We didn't get a very friendly reception, and were told we had about 30 minutes to get to the restaurant before it closed, but she still made us walk around the block instead of just letting us in the back with her. The room was pretty, but no shower enclosure at all, and impossible to shower without making a mess. The restaurant and restaurant staff were excellent for dinner and the breakfast the next morning was very good. We would probably not choose this hotel in the future, but would recommend the food.

A down to earth Gasthaus with regional products. The Schweinsbraten is possibly the best you can get in the whole of Mühlviertel area. Very tender yet crispy crust. It is not cheap but considered the quality of the food very very good value. Self made drinks and sweets are also available. If you want to taste real home-made food it is the place to be. The Pesenbachtal is a nice trail for hiking and directly nearby. We love it here!

We recently stayed here on a bicycle trip along the Danube. We came in soaked because it had rained on us all day, and the hotel owner greeted us and immediately gave us our room. The room was actually a 2 room suite, with wonderful views of the valley. It was warm, the beds were very comfortable, and it had everything we needed to dry our clothes out for the next day's ride. We ate in the restaurant that evening, and were not disappointed. The food was excellent, but the wine was some of the best we've had. It was very romantic, and they put us in the back room at the back booth, which we loved. The breakfast, which was included, was very good, with more than everything we needed.
