Holiday Linnunlahti has 18 modern apartments, each the size of 63 m2 including a bedroom, compound kitchen-living room, loft and sauna, all appropriately furnished. Each apartment is also equipped with a flat-screen TV, CD player and free Wi-Fi. Check-in is at 16.00 (4 pm) and check-out at 12.00 (12 am).

Reviewed By Tomi_WickmanSpacy camping place. Good facilities. Both morning and evening sauna included in the price as well as wood for open fire. Friendly staff. A small restaurant with a terrace by the reseption. Lot’s of tent area. Pitches with electricity for caravan.

Just brilliant
Reviewed By StumppeliStayed at the luxurious villa. Comfortable beds, air conditioning, sauna was also fantastic. Kids (5&8 years) loved the place. Very good service, clean, polite. Also the food in the restaurant was tasty. Wonderful theme evenings with different kind of food. Last but not least, the sandy beach with crystal clear water was just perfect. Really enjoyed it here, we will come back.

Perfect place to stay right next to Koli National Park
Reviewed By joelarchieStayed here for three nights with a friend as a base to explore nearby Koli National Park. Beautiful situation right by a smallish lake which you can swim in and rent canoes or rowing boats on from reception. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable and communal kitchens have everything you need to cook your own food. Really friendly and helpful service as the kind lady at reception helped us plan our hiking routes each morning. Ukko-Koli and the starting point of main hiking routes is only around 15-20 minutes drive away, while Joensuu is around 45 minutes by car. An ideal base to explore the stunning Koli National Park.

Kotakylä / Teepee Village is a unique destination in North-Karelia, Finland. In Kotakylä you can live in a spirit of traditional Finnish people. We have Lapland's teepees where you can spend unforgettable nights, canoes and kayaks, saunas and activities in peaceful forest next to a wilderness lake. We have everything one needs but nothing extra. Be prepared and enjoy!
Amazing place, must visit!

We stayed here for 3 days (because we wanted to visit Koli, but Kotakylä turned out to be even better experience than Koli itself!). The huts (kotas) are spacy and there is a fire place in each one of them + fire wood provided. Beds with mattresses and mosquito nets. There are also few bigger common tents, where people can get together and also a lovely very well equipped kitchen and dining area. Floating beach sauna is available for everyone (you have to experience that!) + kanoes, sup board etc. to try out. There is this funky, interesting and beautiful art everywhere, made by a finnish shaman that used to live here. The atmosphere is relaxed and magical - very down to earth. Although we loved the place itself, the best part of the visit was the staff. As we arrived we were welcomed by a young fellow, Albert, who kindly guided us through Kotakylä. He was always happy to help if we needed something and great company to chat with. Later we met the owners. No wonder the place has such a good energy. You can see that they really love it and take good care of it. They offered us freshly caught and cleaned fish, which we happily accepted and smoke cooked in one of their "smoking huts". In the end of the visit we bought some of their own natural finnish products (soap etc.). Lovely! We will definitely be back and might even bring our kids next time (although this was the perfect couple retreat get away holiday for us!). Thank you so much for the lovely stay! Lyhyesti Suomeksi. Paljon olen matkustellut ja erilaisia majoituksia ja paikkoja maailmalla nähnyt, mutta nyt täytyy kyllä sanoa, että jopas löytyi helmi ihan omasta kotimaasta! Sijainti ja kotakylän kauneus on mieletön. Kotakylällä on mielenkiintoinen historia ja siellä asuneen shamaanin taidetta on ripoteltu kauniisti sinne tänne. Omistajat rakastavat selkeästi tätä paikkaa ja se kyllä huokuu kaikkialla. Todella lämminhenkinen ja ystävällinen vastaanotto, palvelu ja tunnelma. Tämä oli vähän niin kuin eräilyä, mutta kaikilla mukavuuksilla varustettuna. Meille jäi kotakylästä ihanan rento ja hyvä fiilis. Tulemme ehdottomasti takaisin pidemmänkin matkan takaa ja mielellään myös pidemmäksi aikaa! Kiitos ihanasta majoituksesta <3 - Marianne ja Joose

Reviewed By mikkoj2013Uusi omistaja ja uudet tuulet! Paikka on kovasti siistiytynyt ja ulkonäkö kohentunut. Matkailuauto/-vaunu paikkoja Lieksanjoen äärellä hyvillä näköaloilla. Ja hyvä uimaranta aivan vieressä. Henkilökunta ystävällistä ja helposti lähestyttävää. Kahden vuorokauden oleskelun perusteella suosittelen!

Mukava kokemus
Reviewed By PiiaK152Kävimme syömässä illallista. Kotoisa ja tunnelmallinen paikka. Hyvää kotiruokaa ja ystävällinen palvelu. Hirvikäristys maistui ja kotitekoiset korvapuustit kruunasi aterian. Ehdottomasti mennään uudestaan jos täälläpäin liikutaan.
