We had drinks and cake/snacks to take away. Service was good, same as drinks but felt the food was lacking something. Dear sir/ madamI am sorry your food was lacking something when you visited us this week. I wonder if you could let me know what you had so we can try and improve. We pride ourselves on good service and quality food so I am really disappointed that you were unhappy and would love the chance to put it right for you.Kind regards Tracey

Have visited here quite a few times over the last couple of months and have really enjoyed the experience.....until today!!!!!The lunch menu has been dramatically reduced (apparently they didnât have enough fridge space) and the prices have gone up I will try this place again in a month or so hopefully they will up their game again .

As a 'Midsummer Murders' location the coffee shop seemed small...however we chose to seat ourselves in the rear garden area to enjoy our coffee and teas. There are shaded seats as well as those for sunlovers. The service was good and the drinks o.k. The toilet was rather in need of redecorating and there seemed to be no hand dryer? This could be a new aquisition for the owners and such things will be attended to in time. The location is central Thame and if checking out the T.V. locations it is in the middle of the set of locations.

A magical bookshop and cafe...
This café (and bookshop) was recommended to us by friends and the reviews posted here promised an excellent experience. As with many things, sometimes, having a view before a visit can lead to disappointment or a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately, this one was disappointment. We visited for lunch.Let me state immediately, there was nothing wrong with the service or the food. But there was nothing special about it either. Many of the reviews talk of cakes "to die for". They all looked acceptable but none were so wonderful to look at that they even tempted us. We were expecting rather more, I am afraid. Our freshly made paninis were fine, served with a good helping of salad and nice crinkle crisps and reasonably priced. But they were no better and rather less tasty than we have had elsewhere.Others have commented on the fact that the café is quite small but adequate. However, seating is basic, hard and certainly does not encourage one to linger. The books and the little train running round the walls make it a bit different and the fact that all profits go to a charity are, of course, pluses. But overall, it was a disappointing experience and unless one is close by, I couldn't suggest it is worth much of a diversion.

A cosy and quirky cafe serving British breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea, casual evening menu, cocktail and great wine. Cookery school coming soon, function room available to hire.
Good choice of soft drinks and the coffee was also good. Two drinks were wrong but swiftly corrected. On the Sunday morning we visited there were baby buggies and pushchairs blocking aisles and taking up space - we thought this was maybe a local Sunday morning thing.

Found this little gem as we were looking for somewhere nice to have breakfast before visiting Waddesdon Manor and found this place from local search. Their Ultimate Breakfast was generous, hearty and very tasty - recommended. As we were leaving they were setting up for Sunday cavers lunch which looked great. The farm shop had so much of interest but we were pushed for time but now we have a good reason to revisit as there was plenty to see and possibly buy given more time.
