Nice and tasty cakes , homemade, like you can find only in Germany. As a French , I would eat them at any hour, not only for the coffee break. We will come back.

We waited quite a while for service and when we received the food, the portions were very small. The bread was stale. When we complained about the service, the owner came out and actually started to yell making us feel as if we had no right to express our concerns. Then her husband came out and did the same, in fact he invaded our space and literally shoved us out the door as soon as we paid. It was a truly awful experience.

This relatively new restaurant opened spring 2019. Brand new interior and an included shop with Italian specialties made a great concept. All service personnel was very friendly and attentive. Food came quickly and in large portions. Everything tasted authentically Italian and was home made. Is this a helpful review? Other than the yellow jackets swarming our table, which were plaguing restaurants all over Germany, this was the perfect place to enjoy a leisurely weekend breakfast. Situated right on Staufen's central plaza next to the town hall, be sure and sit outside where you can savor your buffet breakfast while people watching. (Don't miss Saturday market!) The buffet choices are typical for breakfast in Germany...cold cuts, cheese, rolls, eggs, fruit...not too heavy on the sweets. (There are plenty of non-buffet baked goods for purchase.) My caramel latte was LECKER...not too strong, not too sweet. Service was quietly functional. I must say it was kind of fascinating to watch the yellow jackets carve off massive pieces of our leftover cold cuts and fly off trembling with excitement and sheer exhaustion.

What a gem at the end of a valley! The owners really put their heart to it. Absolutely delicious cake, fresh, best ingredients and a stunning variety. Best: they know that it is hard to decide on one cake only, so they cleverly offer "two for one" -which lets you select to smaller slices of two different cakes.Apart from the cakes the interiour is stunning too! Lots of carefully and lovingly sourced ornaments -a sea of white, beautiful!Be in for a real treat!

Gestern Mal wieder dort gewesen. Der Service ist bestimmt bemüht (die Terrasse war gut besucht), doch nachdem uns die beiden Kellnerinnen eine Zeitlang ignoriert hatten, ging ich selbst rein, um mir die Karte zu holen. Dann kam auch bald eine kleinere, ältere, schwarzhaarige und unverbindliche Bedienung. Auf dem Weg zur Toilette muss man an der Küche vorbei. Der strenge Geruch nach nicht mehr ganz so frischem Fett hielt uns dann ab, etwas zu Essen. Wir belieÃen es beim Getränk.
