Hubs and I stopped here to spend some time waiting for the restaurant to open. The ladies in the gift shop were so friendly and sweet! We got a map of the place and set off. Even though we didn't use them this trip, there were several hiking trails throughout. We stopped at the learning center and were surprised to find numerous animals on display in each building! Kids would LOVE this!! The snakes and tarantula kinda freaked me out, but the screech owls were precious! There were also many different stuffed animals around. Information about each animal was given for educational purposes. There was no fee to enter, but there was a place for donations. There were extremely clean restrooms in nearly every building. All in all, I really enjoyed this unplanned stop. I plan on going back to try the hiking trails!

We love this park so much that we have an annual membership, which is the best deal. We love to hike, mountain bike and participate in the activities. The Delta Boat Tour is awesome, as was the recent hike with a falconer. The park is adding new trails and events routinely which keeps it fun and interesting.
