Where to start? Warm welcome, escorted to a table... not comfortable where I was sat so asked to be moved... no problem. After that, I waited for some time to order drinks and meal. After eating some lovely but rich meals during the week, all I wanted was a good burger with french fries (usually pretty good as standard in France). After establishing that the bacon was smoked (ordered without) and the cheese would be a very thin slice, I ordered a rare burger. For some reason, the burger salad came on the side rather than in the burger? But the potatoes were not french fries, they were ‘steak fries’. Standard shop bought fries (or oven chips). Nothing was mentioned on ordering and when pointed out to my server, she came back and said ‘that’s all we have’! I also ordered a mixed side salad for which I was supposed to pay EUR 5+. It was just leaves, no other salad items, with some dressing on salad leaves, some of which had gone off and were slimy! Seriously, Crowne Plaza restaurant, serve what you say you will serve or give people a choice up front. Shocking food for a French restaurant! The trainee server was fabulous and handled the situation very well. The rest of the staff, including the manager, couldn’t have cared less about their ‘clients’.

We stayed at the Mercure near CDG and arrived in the mid-afternoon with hunger. We ordered a lovely lunch and drinks. The waiter was lovely and helpful. The food was great and we have nothing but good things to say about this spot. A day later we needed late night drinks and WiFi so we returned to this location. Again, very wonderful experience.thank you for this feed back Steve S. And for the waiter, with your permission, I will show to him this comment, see you soon,Deleignies M. We stayed in this hotel and ate at the restaurant; that was a mistake. Getting the attention of a waiter to take an order was the first challenge; they stayed out of the way in the kitchen to avoid having to serve customers. When one appeared, he or she was immediately flagged down by several tables. Well, we managed to place an order; an omelette, tempura hake and wine. 2 out of 3 arrived correctly; the third was transformed into chicken salad. They had no interest in correcting their error. The folks at the next table had the same experience - a "computer error". The wait staff don't take responsibility for "computer errors", clearly. Avoid this place like the plague.

For an airport hotel restaurant Le Trivium is actually very good. I was impressed to see white tablecloths and an extensive wine list. The food was perfect. Surprisingly good. However, the service was bad. Over dinner I was served by 4 different employees. Never the same person. I never received a refill on water, nobody ever asked how my meal was, and nobody ever offered more wine. I would have gladly ordered more wine had I been asked. I wouldn't hesitate to eat here again if I was staying at the Marriott airport hotel, but a little bit of effort to serve guests would go a long ways. Especially at an international hotel.
