If you are looking for a good Italian coffee, don't look further and visit Hug IV Soul Cafe! It is away from the beach therefor nice & quiet. Relaxed atmosphere. Menu offers a good choice of pizza, sandwiches, burgers and salads. Daily menu offers some specials and some home-made sweet bakes are also available.

This beach restaurant and bar is a new addition to the Shooting Star lodge situated above the beach. We ate there twice during our two nights stay at the lodge, and would have eaten there one more time if it had been open on Monday! The food is very fresh, and made to order, so it can take a bit of time to get to your plate. While you wait, enjoy the gorgeous view of the water and sip on a glass of chemin blanc or à Serengeti. Enjoy the quiet spot, the dhows passing by... pole pole We enjoyed everything we tasted. From the sunshine tuna, with delicious sauces and dips, to the addictive, hand cut, freshly made, french fries everything was absolutely delicious. Full of flavors, yet delicate and well balanced. Even the side salad, which can easily be a bit boring, was delicious in its own right (a bit spicy, but even my non spice eater 9yo gobbled up most of his). On our second meal there, my husband and brother shared a seafood platter for two and it was very very generous. The food is grilled on the beach by the chef, you can see him work while you wait. My youngest is not a fan of fish and had the beef kebabs and loved them. The beef was well prepared and well cooked. In a nutshell: go try it! Our first review, thank you so much! we chose this bar restaurant mainly because of the roof-top providing a good shelter from the beach boys along with a good view from the ground. food was nice, only the sea food carbonara seamed somehow ...strange, but everything else was nice. kind staff and good shade during the afternoon.

We stumbled upon this gem by chance, had the most wonderful dinner. Really friendly staff and lovely owner Janet! Not the quickest as have to wait while itâs freshly cooked, but is well worth the wait!!Delicious food and good value.Went again the next evening and the following day for lunch.Great place to relax on the sun beds and good WiFi. We love it and will go again several times this coming week.It will certainly be one reason to return to this area!

Got to sofia following a friends recommendation.We were looking for a place to eat on the beach at sunset.Once the gate to the Sofia Sea View opend we were speachless, an enchanting place clean and desined beautifly.Got a table on the privet beach, ordered the eggplant and cauliflower for starters that were very tasty. For mains we took the samaki whole fish and fish curry that came plated beautifuly and were exccelent.To sum we had an amazing dinner at an amazing place. Defenatly a must if you are in zanzibar.

We walked by and let us be convinced to stop for bear. When we ware seated we saw the couple on next table get pizza that looked and smelled really good so we ordered as well The service was good and the pizza even better so we became regular guests for the rest of our stay here in Zanzibar. As it is really hot and humid here we always asked for ice cold bear, we got the bear in ice bucket Thankyou for your lovely commentsIt's great to know that you enjoyed our Pizza and service....Karibuni tena..
