We went there last week for dinner. The place was quiet as it was quite late. The atmosphere was nice and relaxing with the live music. Food quality and presentation - excellent. Taste even better. Memories of Thailand came flooding back. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They also do buffet for lunch!!!We will definitely be back!100% recommended.

Myself and my husband ate here recently......to start we had chicken and soup to start with, noddles and a chicken and rice dish for mains. We sampled the Weiss bier and had espressos to finish. The staff were excellent and very attentive, would highly recommend this restaurant.......

After reading the top reviews received by this restaurant, we decided to give a try. But honestly, the only quality I can see in this restaurant is that it is CHEAP and they serve large portions. If you are looking for a cheap and generous thai meal and you don't care about food quality, maybe this is your place. The ambience is poor: we went through a small thai supermarket to reach the dining room, where we (2 persons) were invited to seat at a large table, shared with the owner. No privacy, of course. We had to socialize with the owner necessarily and we were a bit surpised when he started to talk very bad about the guy who left him a non positive review here on Tripadvisor. This sounded completely inappropriate, and we got the impression that he was trying to dissuade us from leaving a negative review too. The food was cooked extremely quickly and it was disappointing. The problem was not the quality of the ingredients, the problem was the lack of professionality of the chef in preparing the dishes, and, as a consequence of that, flavours were not good. The worst detail of our meal was that the curry paste was not completely melt in the curry souce, therefore some solid residuals of this paste were still present to ruin the dish. If you love well-crafted thai cuisine, we do not suggest you this restaurant at all.HelloI just read your rating and wanted ask you some questions.If somebody looks at your profile and your travels he can see that you have never been to Asia, neither to Thailand! How can you talk about the taste of real Thaifood and rate on original Thairestaurant if you have never been in the origin country? This seams to be a mystery...and a proof that you don´t know anything about real Thaifood.In the description of Sabaai Dee on the homepage and if you can read you see that the Name is: Sabaai Dee Asia Take Away and Lebensmittel (Foodstore)The entrance is on one side from the foodstore and on the other side directly, there is another door from the backyard to the restaurant. This is given by the way of the building, not changeable.So nobody is forced to enter the restaurant through the foodstore. As i know, and i have been a lot of times in thailand, the thai kitchen is a quick cooking kitchen, and things like vegetable or small pieces of meat (usual in thaifood, or did you ever see a big piece of meat or a knife in a thairestaurant), are done quickly as it should be. The vegetable stays crisp and the vitamins stay inside. But how should you know if you never been there.The food in the Sabaai Dee is prepared with the original ingredients taken from the food store, prepared from original recipes coming from the location the chef cook is coming from, learned from childhood.The flavours correspond the those in thailand.A lot of people who have been to thailand recognize the food in this restaurant as the same as it is in Thailand. You really should go there on time....probably before you enter a next time a thairestaurant.For my opinion your comment is a procacity because it seems you don't know anything about original and real thaifood yet.Don't talk about things you actually don't know yet.That's is my advice for you for your future ratings of restaurants.

Just a lovely local restaurant serving good local food as well as Asian for some reason.The Wiener schnitzel is to die for , I take it with Swiss spatzli as opposed to fries, nice combination.Ambience is between traditional and modern, good efficient service.

The Rai Palace is a small cosy Restaurant at the edge of Frauenfeld`s old City. We often visit it spontaniously and like to order the Chicken Khorma, a Curry meal with cashew and raisins, very very tasty and mildly hot. Staff is very friendly.
