Adolfo is the most attentive guide you will ever have in any vacation. The World Explorer crew was available to us 24/7 via phone and Whatsapp so it was always easy to communicate. The tours where very organized and on time. The guides where extremely helpful when it came to explaining but also had a lot of patience when it came to waiting for the group to take their photos. The food offered in the tours is delicious and clean. The prices were amazing, even if you are to sign up for a private tour i doubt you could find something cheaper of the same quality anywhere. There are many things to do in Cuzco, from the sacred valley, to the salt mines, the city tour, the rainbow mountain, Machu Picchu and many other activities. If you want a full complete tour, look no further than world explorers.

We booked 2 day Machu Pichu by car and the 1 day sacred valley tour in November 2019 via the AITA office in Cusco. We are very disappointed. Both trips didn't meet our expectations. 1. Sacred Valley They should inform tourists that it is cheaper to buy Sacred Valley Access tickets in advance in Cusco and that they are valid for 10 days instead of 2. 2. Machu Pichu tour - pick up took more than an hour, plus filling up the car which could have been done in advance, bringing eggs to clients etc. - breaks were always longer than indicated - Driver was horable and overpasses everywhere. Especially very dangerous at pass route. - Guide only showed up at Plaza de armas after 6pm and our group was waiting for a long time. When she arrived she was very impolite. She was not able to speak English and she asked us to translate for her. - Hotel wasn't booked in advance and we didn't get the same hotel category (no hot water and no double bed). We had to find our way to the hotel by ourselves. First to Singhiroca (the hotel manager called the agency), then to Pirwa and finally to sol naciente, where we arrived at 6.30pm after 2hours waiting time in the rain. - she didn't have our tickets for machu Picchu. After a lot of back and forth we finally got them after dinner. - during dinner the English speaking guide arrived. We found out that the rest of the group was booked for 7am, we had tickets for 6am. He told us that we have to go alone and we will meet there later. We were not able to find him... - during dinner one of us got a food poisoning. Therefore it was impossible for us to go back by bus. We were not able to inform the driver because the guide was not there, but we informed one of the other passengers. Because of this we had to pay in addition USD 120 per person for the train. So overall the organisation was horrible, inefficient and the booked services have not been delivered. After complaining at the agency they have promised us to get a refund of USD 20, but this money never arrived at our pay pal account. We are watiting for the refund since November 2019.

We LOVED this spot...it was the highlight of our trip and we are so glad that we did it! Highly recommend the experience! Our family did not do a guided tour so I can't speak to that. We were in our personal vehicle and drove from Huanuco to Huallay. The drive took about 3 hours and most of it was the Carretera Central, the heavily-trafficked 2-lane highway that links Lima to the jungle side of Peru. We went up to 14366 feet but dropped back down to about 13500ish when we got to Huallay. Huallay is a national park with an exorbitant s/2 (about 75 cents) entrance fee,. There is parking next to the entrance. You can also request a guide for the hikes that they offer...one is a 3-hour route and the other is 5 hours. Our group preferred to just take off on our own...the route is marked fairly clearly and honestly there is a lot of just open plain so it's not hard to get your bearings and head back to the entrance. It was about 40 degrees, I think...our jungle crew was not well equipped--we were in layers with a fleece, tennis shoes, and wool hats and gloves purchased in Huanuco--but we were not too cold. The ground is marshy, so be prepared for damp feet. We also took in thermoses with hot water for mate de coca, as well as snacks. The park itself is amazing! Our kids had a fantastic time climbing and exploring and hiking. Thankfully no one got altitude sickness although we were all developing headaches by the time we left about 4 hours later. We are so very glad that we went!
