Pontivy straddles the river Blavet where it meets the Nantes-a-Brest canal. It's very appropriate that the floating tourism office is a traditional barge (a peniche) moored on the river near the centre of town. There were lots of maps and information inside. The young and enthusiastic staff were informative and helpful. On the quay were bikes for hire and we rented two for an enjoyable day exploring the canal.

Che bel posto,
in vacanza anche l'olfatto vuole la sua parte.
Un posto unico, dove è possibile visitare la fabbrica ed assaggiare i loro prodotti, torte, cioccolatini e biscotti.
Fabbrica molto pulita, qui potete sentire il profumo del burro e del cioccolato.
Terminata la visita relativa alla loro produzione, nello shop potete acquistare i loro prodotti... prodotti bretoni.
Beh io mi sono fatto una bella scorta. Potete pagare in contanti o carta di credito.
Contentissimo di avere visitato il posto.

I couldn't visit the interior as it was late, but exterior is very nice and so the Gardens out of the walls. There was a sign indicating that conservation works were taking place, so I am not sure if it is visitable right now.

Centre équestre très accueillant qui donne vraiment envie de revenir. Des chevaux bien dans leur tête, des moniteurs très sympa et un endroit plutôt joli a voir avec une carrière vraiment grande
