For statistical purposes, the United States Census Bureau has defined Neskowin as a census-designated place (CDP). The census definition of the area may not precisely correspond to local understanding of the area with the same name. The population of the CDP was 169 at the 2000 census.

The Ghost Forest was really neat. We had a lot of fun walking on the beach, in the water and seeing shells, the ghost trees and tide pools.

Great view of proposal rock. Long Beach to watch. Tides bring treasure of all sorts. A night walk to watch stars should be on the agenda.
