Kundalika Rafting

The rafting is undertaken by Mercury Himalayan Explorations(MHE). This is no where mentioned when you book online on kundalikarafting.in.
The staff is very experienced and go out of the way to see that you have a great time. We visited on a weekday and booked just a day prior to our visit. While booking there were only 2 of us who had booked for that day but they were still going to take the trip. So they don't have a minimum number in order to take the trip which is great, so no tension of your trip getting cancelled.
Rafting is a totally safe thing to and this company takes full care of your safety.

We had taken a Bungalow and some cottages for stay and they were perfectly located right at the rafting point and with yummy food.
Bonfire and music at night and barbeque was a unique experience for many of us
The Rafting next day was outstanding and the guides were very friendly and made sure we all enjoyed.

Based at our hotel (Bull's Retreat - see separate review) we had one of the shorter trips - should have chosen a longer one! We were picked up and dropped back at our hotel. The trip was particularly impressive for its safety - a comprehensive briefing reinforced on the water when appropriate, good quality life preserver, a helmet and an accompanying safety canoe. The guide spoke excellent English and was companionable and exuded confidence. The accompanying canoeist was clearly very competent.
Our trip included about 4 rapids (one of which was a set of 3) including one that was sufficiently tame to float (body-surf) down. The whole trip lasted about 90 minutes with scope for extending it down river.
