When you arrive there and do the registration, you watch a video that shows you what you can do and more important: what you shouldn't do while swimming with the whale shark (if you are lucky to encounter one). When there is enough people to go on the boat, the exciting journey begins, all the way, you keep looking for some dorsol fins and when it happens, the boat speeds up so you can jump before the whale shark comes so you can swim with it (because maybe you don't imagine that these creatures sWim so fast)...
We were in an amazing boat, we were lucky enough that day: We had the chance to swim 5 times with 2 different whale sharks. It was really magic, i would do that evereday if i could.

They say fireflies only exist in areas where the environment is clean.So, it goes to say that air quality in Donsol is still very good. From the resort we drove to the Donsol river wharf towards dusk, where we transferred to a Catamaran. The river was very calm and we could see the lava flow from the tip of the Mayon Volcano from a distance. The guide gave us a good background of the tour and what to expect. As nighttime fell and after about half a kilometer down the river, we saw a congregation of fireflies on some trees along the riverbank. This scene will be repeated several times and the boat was able to go near the banks where we enjoyed being surrounded by the fireflies. Then we had dinner while enjoying the spectacle.
This is one experience worth repeating, and hoping the environment in Donsol stays clean.

This place is great! The staff were friendly, helpful and professional. They cared a lot about security and comfort. The atmosphere was really good, and the staff seemed to enjoy their job.
We booked a triple dive at manta bowl. They could promise anything but we saw five mantas. And some of us a whale shark shortly passing by (the visibility changes during the day, so sometimes it's so-so.
Lunch on board is good and you even get a small private box including snacks.
Wish we had more time to hang around the diveshop and do more dives.

We are all local professionals moreover we have foreign/local PADI instructors collaborating with us to pursue more a conservation campaign in the protection of our Gentle Giant Buddies: Whale sharks and the Manta rays.

The Diver's center is just a walking distance from our resort- Vitton where one has to undergo briefing and a short orientation about the whale sharks. The info posters and the Wide screen helped us understand them.The more it excited us to see them. it has guidelines on how to interact. It is supported by the WW as i saw the picture of the Iconic PANDA so the activities are really nature friendly. The area has a lot of souvenir shops and i love their Shirts and the prints, not just the typical but of better quality. Above all, i like it that they have white board daily monitoring on the number of whale sharks spotted that gives one the idea and during our time it has been consistent for the last 2weeks, no zero incidence and it gave us so much hope. HOwever, need to improve on the public CRs,
