Chignahuapan Municipality (Spanish pronunciation: [tʃiɣnaˈwapan] ( listen)) is a town and municipality in Puebla in south-eastern Mexico. The municipality is the location of many touristic places very well known all over the state such as the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, which is the biggest figure of the virgin Mary in Latin America, and also, Las Aguas Termales de Chignahuapan (thermal waters).

This baroque style Cathedral, which dominates the south side of Puebla's Zócalo, took from 1575 to 1649 to build.

Don't miss to stop in this Basilica, which holds a 15 meter-high-statue of the Virgin Mary, the highest in Latin America. Hot Springs of Chignahuapan

Great sulphuric Hot Springs ... but they are a bit pricey!
A hotel has the rights to all of the Hot Springs so they can charge almost as they please ... regardless it is really relaxing to take a dip in these Springs if you are passing through the Sierra de Puebla ...

Esta tienda ofrece un recorrido por lo principal de Chignahuapan con duraciòn de 1.30 min que vale la pena ya que explican los lugares sobresalientes, hacen una parada alrededor de la laguna y otra en un taller de las esferas y es entretenido ya que el pueblo es muy chiquito.
