A great beach for families, dogs & surfers. Beautiful spot overlooking burgh island. If visiting a tip would be to check the tide times as at full time there isn’t much beach.

Our bungalow accommodation offers two twin rooms, family bathroom, equipped kitchen, comfy lounge/diner with patio doors on to the bungalow patio, overlooking the 12/18th holes and out to sea. Not a golfer? you can still enjoy our facilities from walking routes and nearby attractions, not to mention our Roux trained chef - Liz Turner so great food guaranteed.

Really welcoming club that was perfect for a round of golf with my family! The course was in great condition despite heavy rain fall in the build up. Holes were interesting yet accessible and the views are sensational! The best course played in the South Hams!

A short walk from the South West Coast Path of less than 1 mile on Burgh Island. Cross the causeway on foot at low tide (make sure you can get back again!) or take the sea tractor. This very small island has a host of fascinating features, including the art deco hotel made famous by Agatha Christie, a fourteenth century inn and an ancient chapel which once doubled as a huer's hut.

We actually walked this section of the SWCP a year or so back, but promised to return to complete the short walk from the car park opposite the island to the ferry as we had to take a taxi round the inlet having arrived too late to cross in the ferry. Back now to honour that promise and also stay on Burgh Island for a couple of nights, we have taken the opportunity to walk around the island and also try out the ferry tractor. The views are quite stunning and well worth that extra effort - if the tide allows.

Fantasic site. On the beach. Stunning area to visit. Burgh island is a walk up the hill 10 mins away we did with a 3yr old (see pic view looking bsck over challaborough park dean resort). The site has it all swimming entertainment, fish and chips, you can sit and watch the sea. A little resturant, v cute. Then the main restuant. Our daughter loved the disco. This is a great spot to visit thurlaston beach, salcombe (a must) stunning. Great pub in the village 13th centurary dog friendly, awesome food called the journays end. Also hope cove stunning, with pubs etc great to walk around. Another to visit is national trust beach and walk called bantham, beaut walks, dog allowed everywhere to walk but not on actual beach, but still worth it. Our only annoyance was that our dog wasnt allowed on challaborough beach. Nobody quite understood why. Its such a shame. They are allowed from 30th sept. So we didnt get to go on it yet it was on our doorstep. Def reccomend this place. All the rds are abit of a pain, all thin single track. But it did add to the cuteness of south devon. Just down the rd from the site is ayrmer beach 15min walk to it from the car park but we were the only ones on it. Beautuful (last pic) Ive added pics of all the places ive mentioned. Lastly, kingsbridge is v nice to sit by the water too. There is so much to do. Lots of lovely places to eat. All the food we had was yummy. The pizza on site is v good and the chippy.
