Beautiful, nicely developed and maintained park on the Guadalupe River in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. Hiking, biking, fishing, picnicking, camping, shaded, reasonable cost and kayak rentals. Beautiful place to relax and read or birdwatch or hang out with the family. Water was clean and easy to access even for someone wi5 difficulty walking. We will be back

Riverside Nature Center

Riverside Nature Center is a non for profit, member supported organization founded in 1989. The nature center boasts a unique and diverse Texas Native Arboretum, native meadow and pollinator garden, compost demonstration, rainwater harvesting, indoor exhibits, workshops, youth activities and a gift shop. Come visit us at 150 Francisco Lemos St. at the confluence of the Guadalupe River and Town Creek.

Riverside Nature Center currently has a great interactive exhibit and related activities about birds in our lives. Easy to read and understand information presented in a very engaging and professional exhibit is a hit with families of all ages. Wildflowers and tree buds are starting to bud and pop on the on-site nature trail which is also a starting point for the Kerrville Guadalupe River walk. On site staff are friendly, helpuful and there to answer your questions on a large range of topics. Don't forget to check in in Schucks the corn snake and the resident Mexican Red-rump Tarantula.

The Coming King Sculpture Prayer Gardens

Stand inside the 7' center chamber of the 77'7" tall, $2,000,000 Resurrection cross located on the 1930' mountain in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. "The Empty Cross" has been described as the most scripturally symbolic cross ever created. Experience God's presence, love, power, mercy, forgiveness and miracles as you read through the plaques affixed to the inside walls of the magnificent cross. The 77’ Kerrville Cross is the centerpiece of The Sculpture Prayer Garden still being developed as a gift to the community and to the Kingdom of God. What a lovely tribute built here. Beautiful location, scriptures in stone walkway, amazing sculptures! This is a must see for anyone even close to Kerrville. There is no cost to walk through is incredible display and every piece is lovely. We will go back for sure.

Great place to get a walk in, see some wildlife like deer, owls, ducks, squirrels and plenty of other birds. You can fish, or swim wade, and sometimes kayak and paddle board rentals are available
