Marietta is a city in and the county seat of Washington County, Ohio, United States. During 1788, pioneers to the Ohio Country established Marietta as the first permanent settlement of the new United States in the Territory Northwest of the River Ohio. Marietta is located in southeastern Ohio at the mouth of the Muskingum River at its confluence with the Ohio River. The population was 14,085 at the 2010 census.

Beautifully renovated and painstakingly restored to its early 20th century splendor, Peoples Bank Theatre features a full calendar of national headline entertainers, live music, movies, and theatrical productions in downtown Marietta, Ohio. Box office open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday and 1-2 hours prior to show times.

enjoyed a lovely evening @ the newly renovated theatre~ ondekoza, a japanese taiko drumming group was a phenomenal performance!......roll call tickets were a breeze to pick up...many friendly volunteers available for guidance...according to their upcoming schedule, they offer an array of programming...we look forward to attending many more events!...

Definitely worth the visit especially if you like historic homes. We had a wonderful docent. The house is beautifully kept and furnished
