The famous second-hand bookstore. Browse around for hours or sit down and read for a while. There's also a small antiques section. It's located across the street from the Shipwreck museum, also worth a visit.

I think that the museum was very diverse, different kind of information presented id different mediums. For me most enjoyable thing was to know more about the history of the island. Curator (-s) have done a very good job.

Bunkers Terschelling

Before the forest there were bunkers here during WWII. A 2 hour excursion through history, explaining how the bunkers were constructed, used and what became of them after the war. The area has been painstakingly restored by people who are experts and passionate about the subject. These volunteers and experts are also your guides through the tour, it is a marvelous experience to understand history through their expertise. A poignant reminder of a devastating time in history, the tour and museum are a must visit in this area, enjoyable for both kids and adults!
