I had booked 2 nights with ayurvedic massages and treatments in January and was happy to have made the right decision. The 1st day with a full body massage and afterwards a herbal steam bath ( Sweating with a mixture of herbs in a wooden box ) I was told that sweating opens the body channels, the tissues become permeable and soft and can thus absorb the Massage to remove dissolved toxins and excrete them. On the 2nd day I got a thermo body massage and Shirodhara ( I always wanted to get to know this) - pure deep relaxation ! exactly the right thing for us stress-plagued Europeans. An all around happy package including meals, the wonderful modern house and the friendly Daphne Team. I can only recommend.

My family spent a week at a resort very near Bamboo Massage. We got not only one, but two different massages for our family of four. In addition, our ride down to Marissa, local sightseeing, and our ride back to Columbo was all arranged through Shiran. The massage team was wonderful with flexibility to adjust to each of our needs. We loved the setting and knowing we were directly supporting local families. Hopefully we will have the opportunity to return to Sri Lanka one day, and would definitely visit Bamboo Massage again. This is one opportunity you don’t want to miss out on.
