Our tour un the lagon of Somon has been perfect for relax. We took a long trip by boat for 2hours and go over the lagon river , it was nice to see many of bird's, fish crabs, also we had met many pelicans and mangroves. We did a lot of photos and it was great seeing our journey It was started from Royal baobab hotel. When you have the time, this is great view of Senegal´s wild nature, our English speaking tour guide name Andy was great, gentil and professional, I recommend you to make a tour with him Whatsup +221.76.018.17. 83,we will never forget this place

Reserve De Bandia

Reviewed By ummabdurrahmaana

A rather pricey trip but well worth it. Foreign adults pay 12000FCFA each and children (even toddlers) pay 7000FCFA local adults pay 7000FCFA. in theory you can enter with your own car for 10,000FCFA but unless you happen to have a strong 4x4 with extra spot for the guide you must take (and pay 6500FCFA ) you are more likely to rent their cars for 40,000FCFA which are rather nice (which is what you'd expect for that price). The tour takes about 2hrs and you get to see a good variety of herbivores imported mainly from SA and few hyenas in a separate area and crocodiles at a lake. The best part is that the tour is more or less tailored for your needs, you can take your time with pics and ask as many questions you like. Our guide never rushed us and rather encouraged us to take our time and to tell him if we needed more stops or to stay longer. He was a great help with pics too! We started our tour at noon during dry season and I think we saw everything there was to see and there were no crowds on a Saturday so no need to get up at the crack of dawn for this. The downside I could see was the lack of enforcement of the no feeding monkeys rule at the restaurant where tourists shamelessly fed popcorn to monkeys and then were surprised to see their food stolen with the poor staff trying to get rid of the monkeys the best they could. There was also a nice lil play area for children by the overpriced restaurant. All in all a great visit we avoided the restaurant that sells a plate for 14,000FCFA as we could feed the entire family elsewhere for that price. I do recommend this place warmly just eat well before going.
