St Albans /sənt ˈɔːlbənz/, /seɪn ... / is a city in Hertfordshire, England, and the major urban area in the City and District of St Albans. It lies east of Hemel Hempstead and west of Hatfield, about 20 miles (32 km) north-northwest of central London, 8 miles (13 km) southwest of Welwyn Garden City and 11 miles (18 km) south-southeast of Luton. St Albans was the first major town on the old Roman road of Watling Street for travellers heading north, and it became the Roman city of Verulamium. It is a historic market town and is now a dormitory town within the London commuter belt and the Greater London Built-up Area.

Having walked past this place a couple of times, we finally got around to going in for a light lunch. The tapas style small plates/appetizers were perfect to share. Well presented with good flavours. Very comfortable lounge style interior is probably more suited to evening dining. We will definitely be back to find out. Although we didn't try them, the lunch curry specials look like good value. Great friendly staff, in the middle of town. Menu is selective but they will happily cater around your needs. Went on Saturday lunchtime and place is busy. Lovely ales and wine list. Would love to go again. Had duck scotch egg, soup and fish for mains. Perfectly cooked. Thanks for such good service
