Listen massage enthusiasts I have been to about every place in town. From Founders Inn and Spa to Massage Envy and this place beats them all in service and price. The staff are great and the place is clean. Even the social protocols are being implemented. I can't say enough about the work and professionalism they provide each.and every time. Did I mention the prices are great as well. 5 starts +

I've been going for almost three years now. I can't speak for all the franchises or the HQ unit in New York, however, the Chesapeake location is great. I think the concept is great, especially if you have a martial arts background. It's a one hour class that starts with a cardio warm up of various excercises, a brief stretch routine, six three minute bag rounds (each round the instructor provides specific punch kick combinations), then you have a speed round, partner pad round (NOT A CONTACT OR FIGHT ROUND) and final stretch. It's a very good workout. The instructors are very motivating, they work closely with people to help improve their technique and fitness goals. If you need any modifications due to ability or injury they always are there to help provide you solutions, they also can help with dietary advice as well. If you search the web you'll mostly find people giving a bad review over the contract and alleged pressure sale. I started with a $19.99 three class special and at the end of the third class they did sit with me to encourage me to join, I didn't feel any pressure, if you're unsure about joining they'll offer a cheaper introductory price if you sign right then. I consider a pressure sale sitting at a timeshare presentation, that is pressure, they treat you very rude. I've never seen that at this location. It's a contract people!!! READ it, take it to a lawyer if you need to. Also, the contract is written by the lawyers for ILKB headquarters out of New York. The franchise owners and store managers have no authorization to modify or nullify a signed contract. I'm sorry you feel duped Robert D and blame Hannah. I also think you shouldn't call her out publicly but since you did I'd like to mention that Hannah is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. She is a very intelegent, extremely hard working and responsible young lady. Having done 30 years in the military I can tell you any organization would be glad to have her on their management team. Robert, as I mentioned above it was not within her authority to discard your contract because you changed your mind AFTER SIGNING. Like all gyms, it's your responsibility to make sure it provides you the resources to meet your fitness needs. ILKB offers a very specific routine. If you're interested I suggest you take the trial classes to make sure it's for you. Take your time to read the entire contract (have a legal review if needed), ask questions before you sign and sign up for the plan with the least amount of obligation if you're unsure. It may cost a little more but you'll save in the long run if you decide it's not for you.
