Mussaylha Fort

This fort is strategically located at an obvious access point. Often times, an antique fort seems to loose it's sense of place and purpose. Not so with this fort. It's obvious how important it was. Standing atop a lone rocky outcrop, it's worthwhile to climb to the top for great views.

Phoenician Wall

Reviewed By halcatra - Edinburgh, United Kingdom

It is one of not many phoenician structures we can still admire. The origins of the wall are not 100% confirmed, it could be part of the defence system but it could be also remains of the stone pit. The wall is beautifully located at the seaside, which makes amazing scenery for photos any time of the day and all year around.

It is one of many similar beautiful churches around Lebanon. It is nicely located close to the harbour. If you walk around a little bit, you may catch very nice views on the facade from there. The entrance is free of charge. Worth visiting if you are in Al Batroun.
