In 1907, the community of Peck was renamed Tomball for local congressman Thomas Henry Ball, who had a major role in the development of the Port of Houston.

It's rare to see a farmers market larger than the Tomball market... And I've traveled all over the country on my travels stopping at markets as often as possible. It had all the products you expect to see...produce, meat, breads, pastries, pickles, jam, bbq sauce, salsa, dog treats, fermented foods, candy, cheese, jewelry, craft items, soaps, oils. The only thing I noticed that was missing was fresh flowers and that's not easy this time of year. I was told they had 68 vendors today. That's an amazing number for such a small town but the locals apparently provide a lot of regular support for the vendors. If you're in the area, it's definitely worth a visit. Saturday mornings, year round, reason or shine. No excuse not to stop.

I was lucky to visit as part of a group from LSC. We saw a beautiful vase made over several hours. We toured the showroom seeing the beautiful pieces available for sale. Three Dimensions offers custom pieces as well. Watching the vase being produced gave me a much better appreciate of the art involved, the time and the sheer strength to handle the weight of the glass.
