Es war für uns sehr schwierig, um die Mittagszeit an einem Dienstag in Grünstadt überhaupt ein offenes Lokal zu finden. Das Octopus liegt recht zentral am Luitpoldplatz. Es hat recht schöne Innenräume und einen groÃen Garten. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Karte umfasst ca. 30 Gerichte - überwiegend logischerweise Fisch. Wir hatten Scholle und Seelachs, jeweils mit Kartoffelsalat. Die Fischgerichte waren vorbereitet und in der Friteuse nochmals erhitzt. Die Panade wurde dadurch recht hart. Incl. Getränke zahlten wir rund 28,00â¬. Das Lokal ist für meine Begriffe ein Kann aber kein Muss.

We stopped at this place on the offchance and found it to be very chic, friendly owners who go out of their way to make you welcome and comfortable - its aactually 2 restaurants in one, one a Tappas which they call Happas and the other a very upmarket restaurant. We chose the Happas as the other was full - the food was well presented but rather overpriced in our opinion - charging Euro 4 for a normal feldtsalad is a rip-off in my book - service, decor and presentation was exceptional !

Had dinner here and all five of us loved our food. I had the Rumpsteak with mushrooms and it was delicious. The meat was very tender, perfectly cooked and tasted great.The beer and wine I had was also good.Service was good even though the place was packed. It is a very small cozy place. Can't wait to go back and try the lamb kabob or chips.Note: They don't take credit cards.

Nicht unbedingt lukullische Highlights aber Hausmanns- und Bistrogerichte in ordentlichen Portionen lassen die Gäste letztendlich zufrieden das Haus verlassen. Das Preisgefüge ist den Leistungen durchaus angemessen.
