We ate here twice within a week. The place has Swiss charm. Locals playing cards, eating and drinking. A warm welcome, and a warm or I should say hot temperature. The food is all nicely prepared to order. You can get pasta, pizza, steak, schnitzel and it's all very good. Portions are large and enjoyable. Service is of course efficient, this is Switzerland. Yeah, nice place.

Very nice and well eqiupped restaurant...pizza are baken in a wooden owen.Pizza furnace should be kept higher in temperature for optimal pizza,but pizzas are good.They have good radicchio and sausage risotto.Service very friendly and there is a children room with two playstation..The only bad thing i can say is that it is definetly too hot inside,so warm clothes shoud be avoided

We ate here twice during our stay in Appenzell. After a long (but wonderful) two week vacation through Europe our family found ourselves here for our last dinner before heading home to the US. It was absolutely perfect. Service was friendly and efficient, all pizzas were delicious, cooked perfectly with fresh ingredients and the wine... yummy! Couldnât have ended on a better note!

The pizza here is good but the real strong point of this restaurant are the imaginative, delicious, and attractive dishes on offer. I live not too far away and know that I will always have a great meal here. The salad is scrumptious and beautiful to look at. The meat dishes are always a pleasurable adventure. They have an extensive wine list as well. The main room in the restaurant offers a lovely view of the countryside and the terrace in the summer months is cosy and inviting.
