Downtown has all sorts of things to see, whether driving or on foot. There is also a park that you can park at get out and take pictures of the whole skyline.

The Theater District has it all: multiple stages and concert halls as well as plenty of dining choices. For music there's Jones Hall, the Wortham Center, with Brown and Cullen Theaters. There's the Hobby Center where most major musicals are staged, and there's also the Revention Center (formerly known as the Verizon Center), where many rock acts perform. Beneath it all is expansive underground parking -- unless you drive a Lexus, which gets you free parking at the Hobby Center. There are literally dozens of dining choices within easy walking distance as well.
