Aguasabon Falls & Gorge

Quick stop off the highway, recommend this. Short walk of 5 minutes to SPECTACULAR view of falls, gorge and lake. You could picnic here too, but if time is short, you can see the great view in less than 30 minutes.

Slate Islands Provincial Park

Reviewed By peterjameskelly

We went to Slate Islands this past summer and it was amazing. We have a 24’ aluminum boat but we also saw some fibreglass yacht type boats. It is amazingly private with few visitors. We found a dock and were able to stay there for almost a week. We saw no more than 6-8 boats the entire time. The water is cold but weather was gorgeous. We found the island with the cast iron tub and had a beautiful hot bath one lovely day. Unfortunately does not seem to be any caribou as wolves made it to island on ice over winter we heard. Lovely views, private, the fish is amazing to eat! The waves getting to and from sizeable and would never want to attempt in a small boat. Terrace Bay marina is also great!
