Besides its history and marvelous monuments, San Marino is a great nature park with more than eighty kilometers of hiking trails, breathtaking landscapes and marvelous biodiversity. This is a beautiful space, wonderful to explore and enjoy the scenery.

Si rifugiò all'interno della Repubblica anche Bartolomeo Borghesi, insigne archeologo e numismatico di Santarcangelo, accusato e condannato a morte per la sua appartenenza alla società segreta "la Carboneria", trovò un rifugio sicuro a San Marino, abitò per lunghissimi decenni in una casa nelle vicinanze della Pieve e costruì un magnifico giardino, dal quale si gode una bellissima vista.
