Reviews on International food in Okinawa City, Okinawa Prefecture, Japan. Long a popular destination for Japanese travelers looking for a relaxing beach break, Okinawa is gaining international popularity. Coral reefs provide great snorkeling and diving spots, but if you prefer to see beautiful fish without getting wet, Okinawa also has a fine aquarium. We are staying at the Niko AliVira hotel and this is one of the onsite restaurants that you can choose to eat at onsite. We did the course set menu and everything was delicious. Our server was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Best buffet style restaurant in Okinawa so far. Large selection of Wesrern and Japanese dishes. Good food, well presented and great friendly service. This restaurant is located in Alivila Hotel in Yomitan Okinawa, one of the nicest hotels here and has pool side and ocean views. The day I went the restaurant never completely filled up and was peaceful and a nice place to sit and relax.

Four Seasons Steak House

Visited Four Seasons on a business trip and enjoyed the experience. Simple table side steak house cooking of some great cuts of meat. For my meal, I enjoyed the Waygu tenderloin with a side of the pork. The meal was great with a nice salad and chowder soup added to the meat. Staff was great even though with the language barrier. Will admit that this was the most expensive meal on my trip, but very reasonably priced considering the quality and taste of the beef and pork.Definitely an option if you visit the American Village in Chatan.

Worth the effort it takes to find. The food ranges from very good to excellent. The prosciutto and cranberry salad was excellent. My wife loved the fresh tomato pizza and the pasta was properly cooked. The service was outstanding. They even have a very well written English menu if your Japanese skills aren't up to scratch.

We took some friends to the buffet at this Hilton Hotel Restaurant for a congratulation lunch. Although I was expecting less than the hype I had heard on-line, I was still disappointed. We arrived early to reserve seats but really did not need to. The first thing that struck me as we entered the foyer of the restaurant itself was the strange, unpleasant odor. Thankfully, it was not present in the dining area itself. The second thing I noticed, and brought to the attention of the staff, was the food scattered on the seat cushions and the floor under the table. The hostess dutifully cleaned what she could, but I have to say that when the staff clean up a table after patrons leave, they should, at least, pick up the rice, vegetables, and bones from the floor. Now the real bone I have to pick: for a weekend lunch buffet at ta four-star hotel to have no beef dish is surprising. The full menu for the buffet was slim on substance. There were a lot of what I consider padding, side dishes masquerading as main courses. The majority of dishes featured tofu, pork, or fish. The taste of individual items was bland and unremarkable. The spicy chicken wings were anything but spicy. They were coated with a thick glaze of some sweet, citrus based gunk. The seared bonito (I think it was bonito) salad was tasteless. The Indian fish curry was acceptable. The Thai soup was okay. The deserts were so-so. The coffee tasted like it had been sitting in the carafe for a while.Overall, the buffet was way too expensive for the quality. It was something I would expect at a two or three-star hotel. I would recommend the hotel cut down on the number of fluff dishes and raise the individual quality.
