Located at the thermal spa, initially I thought it a strange place for a restaurant. But on a slow weeknight it was a convenient walk from my hotel. Plenty of pasta and pizza dishes, salads, seafood items. Dining in a contemporary setting with large floor-to-ceiling windows looking out on the Elba along with outdoor tables under umbrellas. Pasta Carbonara was good, if not a little heavy - I guess the German touch. Friendly, efficient service.

If I should rate the place and the kindness of the waiters it would have been 4, but the food was not so tasty and on top of that pricy. No salt and peper on the tables, so we needed to ask for it.All the open wines from the card was sold out, so the waiter presented the wines by the grapes - like â do you want Merlotâ... I was surpriced, what about country, year, winery...

This restaurant is set beautifully on a high peak overlooking Decin Castle and the Labe River. It is a winding drive to get up here but it sure beats walking. The building is designed like a small castle. We chose a corner table inside to take in the view as it was a hot day. The waitress noticed a few ants on the table and a few more came out form under the salt and pepper shakers. All three of us were a bit unimpressed. She gave us another table and thoroughly cleaned that one by spraying plenty of bug spray. Not conducive to a meal. The menus were only in German. We bypassed entrée and had mains instead. We had gnocchi with chicken and mushroom which was solid but one dimensional and pork medallions with potato and sundried tomatoes which was good. The prices reflected the modest quality.
