On the road for a few weeks caravanning, decided we needed a change from bbqs so went to India Gate. Great choice! Excellent service, delicious food...samosas, butter chicken, and the special of the day, lamb shank curry. With naan and rice, and just $2 corkage for our own bottle of wine, still only about $50 for the meal. Would certainly recommend to both locals and tourists.

We sort of stumbled upon Tandoori Taste; thinking it was an Indian restaurant (which it is), but finding out that it more of a Nepalese restaurant, or certainly a combination of the two.After an introductory "namaste" we got talking to the owner, a Nepalese man who's lived in Australia for a decade or so. He told us stories of his home village, which I've not visited but I've been close to. I talked about my several trips to Nepal.The experience didn't stop with this connection. We found the food to be very good, the overall ambience lovely, and the service attentive. One can't ask more much more, mid-week and off-season in one of Queensland's top tourist destinations.Very happy to recommend.

Ignore any haters. Some people cannot be pleased. Nilima's has never disappointed me. Their food is amazing, their service is friendly and genuine. I always feel welcome in their store and make sure to pop in for dinner for lunch whenever I'm visiting Hervey Bay. They have a wonderful selection to choose from including heaps of vegetarian options but also great chicken, lamb and seafood dishes. The meals are fresh and hearty, and the pricing is very reasonable. I look forward to seeing you again when I'm in town.

Friendly and inviting little place that surprisingly created one of the best balanced goat curries Ive had. Not on the menu for a tourist location, I was pleasantly greeted by my request with a hot, but unlingering collection of roasted aromatic spices and tender cuts of goat. Mixed basmati and garlic naan to complement the experience and I walked away a very happy gastronomer. I will be back!!

Amazing flavours, suitable for everyones tastes. I simply cannot praise Namastay India enough. Great range of dishes, Indian & Chinese. Everything is fresh and flavourful. I'm a regular diner and have over a dozen favourite dishes - Tandoori Chicken, Goat Curry, Chicken Biryani, Mixed Seafood Curry, Beef Korma, Cheese & Garlic Naan... I could list a dozen more. Owners are friendly, welcoming and will accommodate to everyone's flavours and tastes. Provide both dining in and take away options (delivery also!) - I only wish I could add in a dozen more photos of the regular food I enjoy. Highly recommended and without a doubt the BEST Indian on the Fraser Coast.
