Guesthouse Lyngholt is located in Þórshöfn, northeast Iceland, at the edge of the artic. An Ideal location for birdwatchers, hikers and nature lovers with beautiful hiking routes in Langanes and Raudanes. Lyngholt, the main guesthouse has 6 rooms which are all different sizes and interiors so we can personalise your stay with us the best we can. Lyngholt also offers a sea-side villa and a small and cozy private house, both with a complete bathroom, good kitchen facility and access to barbeque on the deck. Lyngholt is close to the sports centre which has a swimming pool, sauna and a gym. However, in Þórshöfn, nothing is far away :)
Hellir private boutique house
Reviewed By jbgunnarssonWe where in our own private house called Hellir (Cave) with all that is needed, kitchen, lovely shower and a wonderful bed and amenities of pillows :) all very cosy and well designed from A to Z. Someone with great taste has furnished and made it comfortable. We where surprised that we had both the option to use the joint livingroom of the Hostel and also the complete privacy in our cave, we even got all the ingredients of a nice breakfast ready in our hose. Outside has a small deck and and a bit open area for parking and a typical small town street. We would stay here again, great base when looking at e.g Langanes that is well worth the visit.

Small guesthouse on a sheepfarm in the pristine landscape of North East Iceland. It is situated on a running sheepfarm and run by the family in Holt. The accomodation is in two small cottages, each for 3 people, and also in the main building, which also has a dining area. All bedrooms have private bathrooms.
Wonderful stay
Reviewed By Kettering20Stayed for one night in late September 2021 but wish we had stayed longer. Really did not expect the quality of food or attention detail that Hildur offers in this tucked away oasis. The guesthouse is beautifully run with a wonderful shared space with huge TV and a well stocked honestly bar. But it is the breakfast that is truly outstanding, including freshly baked bread and cooked to order eggs and pancakes. Fantastic to try the homemade jams and syrups too. I would thoroughly recommend this guesthouse and would have no hesitation in returning if I am back in this part of Iceland

Ytra Lón offers accommodation in 9 studio apartments for 2–3 persons with bathroom and kitchenette, fully equipped with cooking facilities, microwave, toaster, TV. A hot tub which is warm and inviting all year round.
nice stay at a very remote place
Reviewed By Jasmin_Stroppelthe guesthouse is made out of container appartements. This is not really very nice, but practical. The owners tried to make this more cosy by adding a lot of decoration. Not all of it, really fitted. But the rooms are big with fully equipped little kitchen and sofa. But the beds really need a madeup. My hubbies back is not good and he suffered that night. This is a running farm and there is a lot to see, if you are interessted in dogs and sheeps. Owners are very friendly, as was the staff. Dinner and breakfast was very good, with homemade paté and jams. We enjoyed our stay and if you want to explore the Langanes peninsula, this is the prefect spot to start.

Our brand new renovated guest house "Sandur" opened in Spring 2018. Sandur provides all different types of rooms starting from simple Budget rooms until a double bed Duplex room with a private bathroom. All rooms are newly renovated and in flawless conditions. With this guest house, we are giving you the chance to all the nature beauty's in a less packed area without losing any comfort at all.

Reviewed By freqtrav17Great place to stay amidst funky decor. Nice rooms with all the comforts. Amazing breakfast and great food in Báran in the evening. This is a real gem in a less-traveled corner of Iceland. Hope to return.
