The Southern Oregon coast is home to isolated beaches, rugged cliffs with breathtaking views of the Pacific and quaint seaside towns. If you stay in the Bay Area, go whale watching at Coos Bay or explore the region on a bike or a hike along the coastline. Antique shoppers will want to explore old town Bandon while golfers hit the links at the world-renowned Bandon Dunes golf course. And don’t forget to bring your fishing gear – you’ll want to cast for salmon and other Pacific Northwest fish at Gold Beach, one of the region’s top fishing spots.

The Central Oregon Coast is a great place for fishing, clamming, hiking, golfing and other outdoor activities. Take the kids and visit the Sea Lion Caves near Florence, the world’s largest. Head up to Newport for a view of the state’s second-tallest lighthouse and shopping in this seaside town popular with vacationers for the last century. Go fly a kite on the beach in Lincoln City, kite capital of the world.

The Northern Oregon Coast offers a relaxing way to enjoy the region. A stay in the scenic town of Astoria on the Washington border will allow you to explore the western edge of the Lewis and Clark trail, with views of the Columbia River and the Pacific. Walk the sandy beaches in Seaside and Cannon Beach and then grab saltwater taffy and other treats while shopping these seaside towns.

What an incredible experience we shared with the New owners of Rockcreek stables. It was my daughters 8 th Bday and all she wanted was to ride a horse. Justin at Rockcreek stables was the one and only that returned my call! We were so excited! They were so friendly and welcoming made you feel right at home. I highly recommend Rockcreek Stables! So much fun! They took pride and were very compassionate towards their horses I love how they explained what they were doing , or using. They even did a sweet introduction and shared the history and knowledge of each horse. The horses were bright and intelligent.the girls even got to feed them pop tarts afterwards. We are definitely making it a must do every time we go to Lincoln city! Thank you Justin! And your family and staff for making this horse ride experience one that we will never forget! Hugs! Brenda, Jersey,& Emmerson.

This is a Top Notch company with excellent management and excellent staff who love and take care of their 40+ horses. We brought our church group with 28 teenagers and adults for three shifts of riding on the trails, dunes and beaches in this beautiful area. Everyone had a great time and the horses were well behaved and easy to ride. The staff made sure we followed social distancing guidelines and they had sanitizer and masks were required until we were saddled up and on the trail. Staff made no less than five safety stops during our horseback ride to check on saddles and harnesses, etc. They gave our youth a great safety briefing and eight of our youth were first timers! The grounds are clean and well landscaped with flowers and water fountains and you don’t get the impression that this is your typical tourist operation. These folks know their business and you we recommend that you make advance reservations to have your family or group ride. We had a fabulous time. This is a great way to have family fun while enjoying the beauty of the Oregon coast and the privilege of riding on a friendly horse. Great website and great gift shop as well.

We took our niece to Green Acres so she could scratch off one of the items on her bucket-list. She has been wanting to ride a horse near the beach since she was 5!!!! She's 9. : ) Thank goodness she was patient because Green Acres made this little girl so happy. Our guide, Tina, was kind and gentle as she helped her get comfortable. Jordan, from the office, was so helpful and answered all of my questions. She accommodated as much as possible to help make my niece's dream come true. Green Acres made me look like a hero as my niece screamed, "This is the best day EVER!" And I, of course, took all the credit! : ) The horses were well cared for, well trained and easy to manage. We even brought horse treats so we could spoil our horses once we returned to the stable!

My husband and I went horseback riding through this company. They thoughtfully paired us with horses that matches our sizes and experience, took the time to train us how to show the horse where to move and stop and speed up and gave interesting information along the ride. Scott took lots of photos of us on the horses at the turn around point. Considering how many dangerous things could happen, Scott did an excellent job of keeping novices safe on horses, both from our inexperience and from dogs and tourists on the beach that could spook the horses. They do an impressive job.
