Coonoor is located at an altitude of 1,850 m (6,070 ft) above sea level, and is the second largest hill station in the Nilgiri hills after Ooty. It is an ideal base for a number of trekking expeditions leading into the Nilgiris. The nearest airport is Coimbatore International Airport about 79 km from Coonoor town. As of 2011, the town had a population of 45,494. Coonoor is also home to the Pasteur Institute of India, which is responsible for producing Anti-rabies Vaccine and DPT group of Vaccines for the Expanded Program of Immunization of Government of India.

I don't know whether to start with the decor or the food or the service.All three went beyond our expectations.Never have I seen a place put together so beautifully.The food right from the amazing starters to the thin crust pizzas that have an amazing mix of flavors to the desserts that are in the category of- To Die For.We ate till we we're stuffed to the core and enjoyed every bite!! Honestly if you give me vegetarian food like this I will give up non veg tomorrowThank you so much for your appreciation of our efforts to make Café Diem a memorable experience. Usually, for restaurants in Coonoor one is directed to cross the railway tracks and go towards Bedford. This restaurant is right near Railway gate and less visible due to road winding upwards (towards Tulsi Mall). Excellent non veg dishes and beverages. Table service, neat and clean. Nominal pricing. Courteous service. Beautiful views of main road, Railway Station, Bus stand etc through glass panelled dining hall windows.

The food is good but the service is poor... also they had a few popular items that were unavailable. Service was erratic... food came in installments and our drinks were forgotten. Even after reminding, we received one of the two drinks at the end of the meal. The second one never arrived. It was promptly billed though which we had to get removed.The place did not live upto its hype...sad
