Reviews on French food in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. The inland city of Guadalajara is bursting with history and culture. Many attractions are in the city's historic center and in the neighboring city of Zapopan. Museums, parks and churches flourish alongside bullfights, rodeos and soccer (futbol). Nearby are the towns of Tequila, where the liquor of the same name is produced, and Tlaquepaque and Tonala, where artisans create an abundance of Mexican handicrafts. Mariachi, which originated in the area, is a common sight and sound in Guadalajara.

My partner and I went to Guadalajara for the first time and when we were looking for places to eat we were told this place was amazing! They were completely right!!! The food was incredible (The pâté en croûte was to die for) and the service was out of this world, our server Santiago went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed! Iâll definitely be coming back! Hello antorr31,Thanks for your visit and for this great review. Im glad we fulfill your expectations. Please come back when you are in town.

I was a dissapointed because I LOVE french style breakfast, the first thing that turned me down was that the restaurant's name is Boulangerie (a place that is specialized on bread) but I was not appealed by it, it did not look special at all.The croque monseur was not that good, very common, the bechamel sauce wasn't tasteful. The place though is nice, a nice house, the service was not outstanding, they were not around.

Chez Chouchou, we want you to feel at home. Since 2012 we've presented a uniquely original gastronomic offer, one where our customers can experience and enjoy traditional French dishes that overflow with exquisite Mexican flair. Chez Chouchou is the perfe
It was my first and last time visiting this place. The service was terrible, we were the only customers at that time and they took ages to serve us coffee, when we asked again for our order we realized they forgot it... I will never go back to this restaurant.Hi Tania,First of all, thank you so much for your comment. We really appreciate that our clients let us know their thoughts in order to improve. I am really sorry to hear that the service was terriblle, as you described it. We have a new staff and they are still adapted in their jobs. We would like to know which of our restaurants you visited; nevertheless, we had already taking care of this issue in both. Again, thank you so much for your comment and sorry for all the inconveniences. If you give us another chance you wont be disappointed, I will serve you personally.

With almost 40 years of Traditional French Cuisine in the city of Guadalajara, Restaurant Pierrot continues to offer exquisite french food with friendly service, in a classic and cozy environment.
After a little hiccough with online booking the restaurant was able to confirm our booking by email. Good start. Old world and very pleasant linen tablecloth environment. Waiters enthusiastic, welcoming. No English but tried hard, with our little Spanish we got through and were assisted by the manager who was fluent in English. We were eager for a break from Mexican. We got it and it was so awful I'll head back to the tacos. First course, partner went for beef tongue. It was an OK dish, tongue cooked blandly covered with white vinegrette served with uninspired salad, with over-vinegared slices of pickled cucumber. Bit disappointing. I ordered the combined pate and terrine platter. This was served with the same awful accompaniments, the terrines were good, the pate worrisomely discoloured on the outside and this grey oxidation extended a good half inch into the pate all round. This is not on!! The home made French bread that accompanied was excellent. For mains we ordered the "fresh" fish. There's only one thing you can do with fish and that is overcook it. This was inedible, cooked to death, tasteless squishy blotting paper sunk in an oily sauce. The meuniere sauce had split and unbalanced with no taste of lemon. Fish was accompanied by honeyed to death soggy carrots. The beans and papas were OK. Needless to say, three bites each was all we could handle. The chef can't cook, not restaurant standard. Everyone was polite, manager sent complimentary drinks. Think he guessed all was not so good. Will never be back, a restaurant is about the food. Our score 13 out of 100.Hello Yolanda :We are deeply sorry that you had a bad experience and I can assure you, your comments have been addressed so that this does not happen again. I must say however that I was surprised by your comment on the carrots. Some of our guests and friends dine with us just to get a taste of them and some would die to have the recipe as they have tried but never equaled to match the way we prepare them. Same goes for the fish and our Meunière sauce. Praises don't just come from local guests but from many visiting us from abroad, including France. I guess to each his own but we really do hope you provide us opportunity to serve you again.Best Regards
