The Arbor Gate

I have been going to Arbor Gate for plants, compost, feed and name it what we use in our garden and in house plants. They are knowledgable and giving me confidence what I buy is organic and will do well in Texas. They offer classes to educate and enjoy our place the fullest. Everything grows locally, can't say enough good things about them. Just a place to wonder even if you don't need anything just see the colors, some ducks and calico cats!

We spent a few hours enjoying the water splash pad and then a long time admiring the model train exhibits in the old time station, the volunteers in the station are extremely friendly and go out of their way to share their knowledge about the historic train station's artifacts on display. Tomball station is also very kid and dog friendly.

Tomball Farmers Market

Reviewed By LittlePaint - Urbandale, United States

It's rare to see a farmers market larger than the Tomball market... And I've traveled all over the country on my travels stopping at markets as often as possible. It had all the products you expect to see...produce, meat, breads, pastries, pickles, jam, bbq sauce, salsa, dog treats, fermented foods, candy, cheese, jewelry, craft items, soaps, oils. The only thing I noticed that was missing was fresh flowers and that's not easy this time of year. I was told they had 68 vendors today. That's an amazing number for such a small town but the locals apparently provide a lot of regular support for the vendors. If you're in the area, it's definitely worth a visit. Saturday mornings, year round, reason or shine. No excuse not to stop.
