Ate at PVC our last night in Michigan. What a great little jewel. Great food and atmosphere. They even had a couple of guys walking around the diners playing music, (guitar and violin). We all ordered the Polish Platter. It was hard to decide which item was the best. Good thing we had cash though. They only accept cash or check.

Polonia Polish Restaurant

In what was formerly called the 'Workman's Cooperative', today's Polonia Restaurant is hardly a well-kept secret (filled most nights with eager pierogi patrons and kielbasa fanatics) and the price points, under $10, makes it a huge Hamtramck draw. The ori

Last Saturday we decided to get some polish food. For authentic food at a fair price we venture to Hamtramck. Our usually spot, Polish Village had a line and the curious part, there were empty tables. Since it was cold and no one approach us, we decided to try Polonia. We were greeted at the door and advised about a 5 minute wait. No big deal. The drinks were substantial and the beer was icy cold served in chilled glasses. The food was outstanding. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. Our first stop in the future. We are glad your party had a great experience at our restaurant, and we’re looking forward to hosting you again

Service was top notch. Any time i took a drink the waitstaff was back to fill my drink, always polite and a lot of thank you's. Very attentive and quick turn around with the food. Excellent variety one menu although I only got one dish, the bacon and onion pierogies! They were homemade, crispy on the outside and warm on the inside. Exquisite! I was slightly disappointed there was no band which was part of the reason for my visit, my first visit there. But I will definitely return for more food which is more than reasonably priced -and for the music. Very small place and when I went on a Saturday evening there was barely anyone there but maybe that worked out to my favor because I had all the attention fromt he waitstaff and the cook!

When you walk in, the first thing you see is a beautiful red, white and black mural straight ahead. The gallery wall features photographs by Marcin Szczepanski from his time in the Pantanal. The gallery changes every month or so, featuring different artists. The coffee is great, I had an excellent latte (they also have quite a few milk substitutes if you are looking for something dairy free). The latte didn't have any fancy milk art but it was one of the best tasting lattes I have ever had. They had a large selection of delicious looking pastries, cookies, and baked good. I had a chocolate almond croissant which was SO good. They also offer a selection of unique paninis, made fresh to order. I had the greek, without chicken, which was also very delicious. They also offer different types of burek, which I will be back to try. Staff was very friendly, and there is a very spacious patio space to sit and enjoy your beverage and food, decorated with lots of cool planters, I can't wait for the summer to see what blooms. Overall, this is a really cool place with a lot of cool art, along with a super chill vibe, perfect for studying, working, or just relaxing.
