we had a great time. food was good o general Although starter of mussels was top notch. very attentive manager Checked with us several times... we had a little event with our bill which left us wondering .we will tell you as a cautionary tale. our bill added up to About 700 rands with service, which we paid in cash. my husband got the bills, counted. gave them to me, I double checked. handed to the waiter. he ran after us and claimed we had given him 6 x100bills and 1 10 rands bill instead of 7× 100 rands. we felt quite embarrassed and confused and handed him another 100 rand bill. at that moment we were rather preoccupied with sth else so thought nothing of it. later, tho, hubby said: look at these bills, tho we are foreigners and all, they are not that easy to confuse... both the Color and size are completely different... we double checked... so basically not accusing anyone but I would make sure I counted the bills in front of the Server before leaving this ( and after this even any) restaurant.

We visited this fantastic scenic restaurant from the year it was opened and had this year again a fantastic evening there. We all have chosen the tasting menu , 8 courses and another four amuses. i will not elaborate about the different courses as they change it regularly. But the way it was served and the quality of all of them was perfect. When you are in the region do not forget to go here.

We visited this restaurant not having seen any reviews. The service was good considering it was busy and there was only one waiter but we found it reasonably priced. It’s over the road from the beach and has good views and a nice buzz with the bonus of an entertainer on Saturday lunch we both ordered fish one with chips and one with veg and had no problems with our food. Well presented served hot and tasty we would have no problem returning we finished off with a waffle and ice cream. Yum

If you want the best of what the Cape can offer, look no further than Camphors. Set on a most beautiful Wine Estate amidst the trees and a gently flowing river it is difficult to find a place that is more chilled. The atmosphere is complimented with an exquisite wine pairing and exceptional dishes. The Chef should have a spot on the Netflix Chef's Table and the service levels round off a great experience. Winter or summer take the trip.We appreciate the great review! The Camphors Team are on their annual break but will be back in action again from 20 June 2019. We had a delicious dinner at Seven last night, enjoying the 3-course winter special menu. I had a salad starter (simple, very good), and the sirloin (sitting on a delicious Bearnaise sauce, with kale on top and small onions) which was done perfectly and just delicious. My husband had the stuffed mussels starter (yum) followed by a very creative fish dish ("silvers") done in an Indian-Asian style with a wonderful sauce. We both had the (incredible) Grand Marnier souffle with hot orange glaze and ice cream for dessert....we should have shared one, but they were so good, we ate every bit. And the winter special is 3 courses, after all! Service was friendly and professional, and we brought a favorite bottle of wine and were happy to pay the corkage fee for it. The restaurant was sadly almost completely EMPTY on a Thursday evening, which makes me wonder if people haven't yet discovered this little gem in SSW...it's our 3rd visit in the last year, and we will go back. The winter special is very good value, and the cooking (and pretty plating) is top class. Everyone should go. We need to support this local place, and make sure they stick around. Thanks, Seven!
