Little Bay

Reviewed By robbygc - Toronto, Canada

When I started to go down the wooden stairs, I could see how beautiful this place was. Once down, I was standing still. It was so beautiful! There were many rocks, boulders and massive boulders. The ocean hit its waves on the rocks. Sometimes the waves went way up in the sky. The color of the ocean was light blue. There was a lake thanks to the ocean and this is where it is the most attractive place on that beach. There was a beach for at least 100 people. Wow! This is truly gorgeous! This is a must see!

Hastings River

We took the 2 hour sunset cruise from the town wharf last night with Port Jet and it was great. We saw Dolphins and a georgous sunset. They provide pizza, fruit and ice cream. They also have a licensed bar. Don't miss it if you are in town.

Shelly Beach

Reviewed By stinkwink - Sydney, Australia

We accidentally found Shelly Beach as we headed to the Sea Acres Rainforest Center. Taking a wrong turn, we luckily ended up on this lovely beach that is part of the Coastal Walk. The wooden statue of the artist Harry Thompson, sculpted by Stephen King, immediately caught my eyes when we visited this beach. We later found that the artist’s wooden sculptures adorn the city in several places. We could enjoy a rare sunny afternoon. Among the many rainy days, there was finally a long-coveted refreshment walk on the beach. We weren’t the only visitors since the sunshine and the waves running on the sandy shore attracted many bathers to the deservedly popular Shelly Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches surrounding Port Macquarie.

Lighthouse Beach

Reviewed By Ellemay - Sydney, Australia

Lighthouse Beach is located below Tacking Point Lighthouse approximately 7kms from Port Macquarie. The 9km long elongated beach is a favourite local beach due to its protection from the north easterly winds. The beach is patrolled through the summer months with a surf club and kiosk available.
