I took some friends to eat in this place, which I have known for decades, and we were not disappointed. It might seem shabby looking , but its food is always great. Also, price is very reasonable.

I've been coming here for many years, and it's a lovely intimate tuscany restaurant on the hills souh of fFlorence ingredients very fresh, pasta home made, and you can eat under the veranda which, in summer time, is a pleasant experience. Exceptional the Fritto ( mix of fried meat and vegetables in season , a must!, including the rekniwn veal- brain, a typical dish in this area. Price with a good bottle of wine ⬠30/ea

Sunday lunch for a party of four hungry guys was excellent throughout. This is a popular local restaurant, somewhat difficult to find, but well worth the effort. The specialities are Pasta Ragu and Bistecca a la Fiorentina. With are incredible and the steak is amazing value. There is also a very good selection of antipasti and desserts. One comes our of this place well satisfied. Good ingredient and simple cooking.A good selection of local wines at very reasonable mark-ups goes well with the steak.

I have made about 1,000 reviews and this is the most incredible. We had been driving around Tuscany for a few hours when we decided to look for a restaurant for lunch. We used this application and saw this restaurant 30 mn away by car. We decided to call to make a booking but nobody picked up the phone. We drove all the way up the hills and parked nearby the restaurant. My wife went inside at around 1.30 pm in this busy restaurant to ask if there was a table available and one of the waitresses told her that one table had just been vacated and that she would get it ready for us. The 3 of us (my daughter Giorgia is 3 years old) went into the restaurant and we waited a few minutes at the reception whilst our table was being prepared. Less than 5 mn larer we were shown to our table by the waitress. As we were sitting down a red-eyed waiter stormed towards us and asked us to leave the table explaining that he had to prepare a table for 11 people. We stood up and walk towards the waitress who gave us the table but she denied giving us the table and told us we have spoken to her TWIN! What an incredible experience of deep humiliation. Being excluded from a table and being told we had to leave the restaurant without booking when we had been told there was a table for us. That is a painful experience from people visiting Tuscany. By the way my wife and daughter are Italian so there was no issue with translation. You decide afterwards if you want to eat is a restaurant which treats people line this it is your choice. I would recommend IL RETROVO in Rufina where we had great food yesterday. Cara signora Nei ristoranti di tutto il mondo funziona così : chi prenota ha il diritto al tavolo prima di chi non ha prenotato , secondo me questo è un fatto di correttezza e non di disonestà come dice lei ,lei è arrivata e si è seduta ad un tavolo , io personalmente le ho detto che quel tavolo era prenotato e che se voleva mangiare doveva aspettare circa venti minuti , lei non ne voleva sapere di alzarsi , domenica lâho fatto con diverse persone e nessuno ha avuto la sua reazione , hanno sempliceumente deciso se tornare più tardi oppure andare a mangiare altrove , molto tranquillamente e con il sorriso , lei evidentemente era arrabbiata perché è abituata ad avere tutto quello che desidera quando lo decide lei , purtroppo il mio mondo non funziona così , tra lâaltro dopo qualche minuto le avevo anche trovato unâaltra sistemazione , ma lei ormai era sparita e quindi non ha neanche mangiato da noi , quindi lascio passare il disonesto perché Mi piace pensare che sia stato un errore del traduttore , la saluto dicendole che se vuol tornare a trovarci e provare il nostro locale vedrà che siamo tutto tranne che scortesi , le lascio il numero per poter prenotare Alessandro Meazzini 3336455159

Trattoria Osvaldo is a family-run business that offers home-made, traditional Tuscan dishes. We attended a private event there and were so impressed that we went back on our own. What an authentic experience! Osvaldo hides up on the hills of Florence toward the beautiful Fiesole, where you only see locals and forget about the touristic fuss of Centro. I highly recommend going for lunch and spending the afternoon walking/driving up to the town of Settignano or Fiesole, which offer beautiful views of the city between gorgeous olive groves and grapevines.
