Stoney River Steakhouse and Grill

I was visiting family in Germantown and they raved about Stoney River so we went there for lunch. The restaurant provided complimentary biscuits which were nice, fresh, and had good taste. We were a large group and the service was really good.i ordered the vegetarian burger which was HUGE - really large portions. The burger itself was good with nice flavors and good taste. The french fries were alright. Most people come for the steak and for those who ate it they said it was good - they also got mashed potatoes on the side but those were bland.

Forest Hill Grill

This is more of a lunch pub than a dinner restaurant. Unfortunately, the beer menu was decreased 50%. The water was yech! Chicken marsala was good in that the chx was well prepared, the asparagus was good, but the rice was not cook sufficiently. I do not like hard rice. Salads were very good.

Kooky Canuck

Perogies!! That says it all. Ok, we also had a good steak, poutine (fries with gravy and cheese curds- I’m not a fan), yummy blue cheese lettuce wedge. Big portions, shareable. Our token Kanuck was happy. Service was a little slow, I think they were training someone. Our waitress was very friendly.
