Jacobs Bar

My family and I wanted to go to Baltimore Ireland since we are from Baltimore Maryland. But also we hoped to get off the tourist path. Foreign tourists are not common in Baltimore but Irish tourists are. The town is small on the southern side of the island right on the water. The small town square had a few restaurants. We chose Jacob’s Bar. My wife and I shared a blue cheese pizza. I cannot describe how delicious this pizza was. Irish pizza—who knew? The only reason I knocked a star off was because we had a hard time getting water.

I expected this pub to be quite large inside, considering the external image. However, it was actually comparatively quite small internally. Having said that, it has a quaint and rustic quality about it. Just disappointed that, despite the name of the pub, it does not have a great deal of a pirate theme... just minimal. Could be a great 'theme' pub. Enjoyable though, with good staff and a charming owner.
