Every now and again one dines at a restaurant where one changes their mind about where the east food in NZ is. On Sun the 6th Oct we had to change our mind again. The food here was excellent and is now in our opinion the best Thai food in NZ.The food was well presented. well cooked, flavours just right and a huge serving. A little more expensive than other Thai lunches but this was offset by the size of the serving and its quality.

We had the Panang Sizzling and a chicken Pad Thai. Both dishes were delicious but the sauce and the crispy pork in the Panang Sizzling were very good. Portion sizes were OK and prices typical.Service was very good.I would definitely return.Thanks so much for your positive review. It is good to hear you enjoyed dining with us and we look forward to seeing you back again.

Had a great experience here. Friendly service. Appetizer came out quickly - deep fried prawns. 5 pieces, an odd number, but tasty and not greasy. Thai Orchid fried rice was excellent made even better with addition of dried chili pepper seasoning I asked for on the side. Many curries offered. Pretty large menu. Will be back!

I thought this was an excellent takeaway. I had to phone twice, and it seemed frenetic when I got there. But they said 35 minutes wait and it was 35 minutes. The chicken salad (laab gai) was excellent. Very simple, but the sauce was just right, a little bite and very flavoursome. I've eaten lob guy in many places and this would be the best simple one. A generous portion of rice and it was $15.50
