We had heard how good Ian's was and tried to book in the day we arrived but beware it was fully booked up for 2 nights.We booked in for the Thursday night and I pre ordered lobster Thermidor which I thought for lobster was very reasonable. We arrived at the restaurant, and immediately noticed what a great atmosphere there was. The owners were great and very friendly. The food arrived and -WOW! The lobster was sensational my wife's food was also delightful, the sauces were to die for.If you want really great food, great atmosphere and outstanding service go to Ian's restaurant we loved, loved, loved it.Johnk

We have just got back from having wonderful fish and chips with our friends, well worth a visit, streets ahead of Quesada fish and chips. We regularly visit Alicante for shopping & the museums, but the highlight of our visit is lunch at FreneZy. The welcome from Xavier and his team is always warm and the restaurant has a real family atmosphere, which makes us feel good.The daily menu changes regularly and at â¬15 is difficult to beat, the choices are limited but are ingenious in preparation and always of the highest quality. We visited Alicante during massive storms, so didnât get to see as much as we would have liked.We braved the heavy rain to walk around the marina to this restaurant, having seen reviews on trip advisor, and it was definitely worth getting wet!All other restaurants around the marina were fairly quiet due to the weather, but this was very busy, with a couple of large parties in. We were seated towards the front, on what would normally be the âoutdoorâ area. Due to the weather the roof was on and the doors were closed, it was a lovely atmosphere. Our food arrived and was gorgeous, with the added bonus of being served by friendly and attentive staff.In between serving they were having to mop up due to the rain coming in, which strangely added to the evening! I would definitely recommend a visit to this restaurant during a visit to Alicante, definitely the best food we had whilst there.
