Wow I was blown away at how good the food is at this hidden gem of a beach restaurant. We went on a Saturday for lunch and it was a real treat. Iâm told the food is always different depending on the market availability. This is a top place.

In a beautiful garden that isolates it from noise and traffic and creates a quiet and peaceful environment where you can enjoy homemade food made with fresh products. We offer dishes of traditional Spanish cuisine that we innovate and adapt with local pro
This place is tucked away off the road and we had walked by many times without even noticing it was there. On the recommendation of our hotel owner(who has never steered us wrong) we tried this place out on our last night in Santa. The space is outdoors set under a tree, hence the name, and was beautiful and understated. Our server was excellent and explained any dishes we had questions on. She followed up often but was not intrusive in the least. Our dishes, split between four people, were delicious. We tried a number of small plates and a few of the larger ones and were very happy with them all. The tuna was the stand out favourite for everyone. Itâs not the cheapest place but I didnât feel that it was overpriced for what we received. Thanks a lot of your review, you described perfectly our idea of Bajo el Ãrbol. We feel really happy when people recognise our job. Hope to see you soon in Bajo el Ãrbol. Regards

Al chile viola offers a great collection of incredible italian dishes prepared carefully by our italian chef Emiliano and served by his wife Luz.
Classic Italian dishes in the middle of Santa Theresa. The eggplant parm was the clear standout for the food; it was just as good as my noniâs. The passion fruit cocktail was the best drink I had in Costa Rica. The waitstaff was excellent, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable.
