Living in Hendersonville, there are a handful of restaurants I will visit regularly, but this one is restaurant I don't often go to. You'd think the 5/5 I'm giving this restaurant would mean my return on a regular basis, but it doesn't. "Why" is something you may be wondering, and I have good reason to follow up that question.When my mother moved from this town, I stopped going on a regular basis. Working a salary like I do and eating in a fine dining experience such as this is not something I can accommodate in my daily, or even weekly life. As such, this place is more of a treasure to be opened and taken from every so often, reveling in the riches within like Scrooge McDuck diving into his vault. For this reason, on top of the jealousy of my mother when I go without her, I normally await her return for a brief visit to engage in some conversation and enjoy the cuisine. Spicy Crab Salad is my go-to, with just about any of their sushi following close behind. These tasty treats are great for both a quick bite to eat or followed up as a meal of their own.Now, though I am not one to go regularly enough, I urge those who haven't been to go and try it for themselves. The atmosphere of the restaurant is calm and the food is exemplary. If I could, i'd return rather often, though I may dismay my mom if I did!Other foods to try there that I enjoyed from my visits mostly make up the various bento boxes during lunch and dinner. Excellent vegetables mixed with tempura fried foods and rice make up the majority, and each delivers amazing flavor and careful organization upon the plate. In summary, though I cannot go as often as I'd like, this place is an amazing establishment with a dining experience to die for. Try it if you can, and out of all of it, please try the crab salad and sushi. It is prepped at the sushi bar and you can watch if you'd like as they create these artistic concoctions.Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy!

I have been to chomp a many times, and have never been disappointed. The entrees are always fresh and quite excellent. The prices are very reasonable. The salads are large. There is a huge bar. There is a specialized sushi station. There is outside seating. It is conveniently located on Main Street in Hendersonville. You won't be disappointed!

We went to Asaka for Japanese food, but found the menu with mostly Vietnamese items. The place is clean, but overall too bright with glaring white fluorescent lights over head. The hostess was frantic. Not being able to handle the patrons and take out orders. She was actually running and shouting for a long length of time. It took a long time for her to get to our table for our order. Then it took an extra long amount of time to get our spring rolls. They arrived without dishes for us. And so we had to wait again, while the hostess/ server served others, took take out orders and ran to get us dishes. Weird.I ordered the House Pho which was delicious. Fresh, aromatic and very tasty. My partner had Shrimp and scallops served with rather dry rice , 2 broccoli florets and a tin of candied, canned carrots. Not the best choice. They need more help obviously. They were busy on a Monday night. But.... too weird. I will think twice about going back.

Stopped with a friend at an off hour (4 pm) after an art show. Service was great and food amazing. I ordered the chicken and broccoli teriyaki and friend ordered shrimp roll. Both were great. Enjoyed it enough that I stopped back for veggie medley takeout the next week. Plenty for two meals in one order at Super reasonable prices. For me a hidden gem tucked into a shopping strip. Now a favorite!
